Crafternoon, Fun & Lollies

Rediscover a sense of playfulness with this kid-friendly trail which takes in theatre, dance, history and a bit of craft. Read below and add this itinerary to your trip!

DAY 1

Visit the Pioneer Village Museum in Kangaroo Valley for lots of hands-on displays for pioneer living. Cross the suspension bridge and adventure on a wildlife walk. Grab a fancy pie from one of many great local pie shops and take a fun selfie with the historic Hampden Bridge. Stop in at Berry for a donut or pastry at the Famous Berry Donut Van. Book ahead for a school holiday workshop at Bonza Beads in Nowra where you can string a necklace or make a sparkly suncatcher.

DAY 2

Explore the grounds of historic Jindyandy Mill in Pyree and browse the quirky retail stores including the popular Lolly Shop and The Mill Marketplace. Book for brunch at Greendale’s CafĂ© and grab a seat in a vintage chair beside the cow paddock. Bring your cat or dog along with you, as the cafĂ© is pet friendly! Head to the coast to check out the Carved Poles at Crookhaven Heads. The poles’ carvings feature traditional indigenous patterns, set picturesquely against the backdrop of the Tasman Sea. Have a swim or surf lesson at Culburra Beach or Callala Beach.

DAY 3

Book ahead and do a school holiday workshop in theatre, dance or guitar at Livewire Studios, Ulladulla. Alternatively, you can’t go past family favourite Funland Ulladulla. Whether you are in the mood for dodgem cars or classic arcade games, you can find them here. Meters away from Funland in Bellbrook Arcade you can get your sugar fix at the Lolly Kingdom. Renowned for its ‘Pick n Mix’ shopping experience, take home any or all of their 300+ lolly varieties.
