When you aren't on the beaches or refueling on snacks this Summer, there's still lots to do in the Shoalhaven. Try yoga, chocolate making workshops, or head into Booderee National Park for some insights with the elders!
Every Australian school holidays, the rangers at Booderee National Park host adventures in this beautiful coastal park. Grab the marshmallows for Campfire Yarns at night, improve off-grid skills with Weaving Workshops, Birdwatching, Bush Tucker & Medicine Tours, Tools and Technology and Curious Kids. You can also book experiences outside the school holidays by contacting the Booderee Visitor Centre. Camping is here booked out each summer, much of it by ballot, so be sure to book ahead if you are aiming for a coastal camp and haven't got a site. See our camping tips here.

Children's Chocolate Workshop, Berry
Wednesday, January 23 at the Berry Treat Factory.
Working with chocolate is a treat, a craft and a life skill! Kids can learn from the best and use professional equipment while they taste different types of chocolate and create their own unique chocolatey treats to take home. Classes run for 1 hour and are recommended for children 5yrs and over. There is a maximum of 10 students per class. Cost $25.

Discovery Walks Talks and Tours
Hang out with national Parks rangers in our glorious coastal parks tis summer! Jump onboard a tour, or wrangle the kids and family and book an exclusive tour all of your own. Make kites and explore by night at Depot Beach in Murramarang National Park, become a junior ranger at Fitzroy Falls in Morton National Park, make kites and explore rockpools at Seven Mile Beach and check out a range of activities at Budderoo National Park.
You can also gather a crew and have an exclusive 2 hour tour of Glow Worm Caves, Murramarang Aboriginal Experience, Icebergs at pebbly Beach, Weaving Workshop, 4WD Tour of the Old Wool Road.

PG Movie: Wednesday, January 16, 10.30am. Settle in for a PG movie in the main auditorium at the Civic Centre on the Princes Highway at Ulladulla Harbor.
Zentangle Art Workshop: Thursday, January 17. 10.30am. Make some space for creative, geometric drawings at Ulladulla Library.
Bugs in 3D: Friday, January 18, Sanctuary Point Library. Ages 8+. Create a bug to take home with you.

Gymnastics for kids

Head to Huskisson or Nowra and unleash the kids in fully equipped gyms with experienced coaches. Daily sessions are held each weekday at Nowra, or at Huskisson on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 3pm. Kids must be over 5 years of age, and bring a recess, lunch and a water bottle. $30.
Make your own Teddy Bear!

Kids can make their own teddy bear for just $8 at Stocklands Nowra these holidasy (or a dragon, a cat or a dog!) Stufflers Bear Building have lots more creatures to choose from and you will also receive a birth certificate when you are done creating! Head to Stocklands Nowra, no bookings required. *The first 160 Per Day can make a bear for $8. After 160 have sold, the price rises to $12.
