Enjoy a delicious dinner, then retire to glamorous villas overlooking the golf course, just next to beautiful Seven Mile Beach. The produce is the freshest you’ll taste, and the focus on paddock to plate showcase all the flavours of the Shoalhaven. You can even take some local ingredients home with you or grab some presents for your friends from our villages. Or wander the growers and makers markets on Thursday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Try the new season’s vintage at a luxurious winery on your couples retreat with many cellar doors throughout the region. There are many places you can wine, dine and stay. A bit further south, the charming country town of Milton is home to Cupitt’s Estate Restaurant, Winery and Brewery. The working vineyard produces award-winning reds like the Dusty Dog Shiraz. There is a boutique brewery for the beer-inclined, and the fromagerie serves up delicious cheese platters. At the end of a day of wining and dining, you can retire to the beautiful on-site accommodation, Cupitt’s Pods. Overlooking the eucalypt tree line perched atop the rolling green hills of the Estate, this luxury accommodation experience is uniquely contemporary and effortlessly stunning. This small fishing village is renowned for its seafood, with oyster farms and fresh fish readily available. Visit Jim Wild’s Oyster Service or grab some of the best fish & chips in NSW from Pelican Rocks Seafood before heading back to South Coast Retreat. There are plenty of accommodation options here – stay in a glamping tent or one of the many waterfront cabins. For couples with animals, South Coast Retreat is completely pet-friendly too.

The Shoalhaven stretches over 150kms of coastline, so there’s always a beach nearby. Catching a sunrise over the coastline is one of the most romantic things you can experience in the Shoalhaven. Crookhaven Heads is an idyllic place to start the day, and you could begin your walk at nearby Culburra Beach. Jervis Bay is home to the Round the Bay Walk, an easy walk that’s minimum effort for the maximum reward! If you’re not one for early mornings, then opt for a spectacular sunset at one of the Shoalhaven’s fantastic vantage points. There are plenty of beautiful bushwalks on offer for all experience levels. In the north of our region, Bens Walk is easy to navigate. Located in Nowra, this track takes you along the beautiful Shoalhaven River and offers stunning views of Hanging Rock. Visitors who are exploring further south will want to embark on a walk through Morton National Park. For a light stroll, head on the Little Forest Walking Track that leads you to Florence Head. The end features stunning views of Pigeon House Mountain, the perfect way to end your romantic couples retreat!
