We think that doing yoga is pretty darn relaxing. But imagine if you could transform this peaceful pastime into a rejuvenating holiday retreat? Grab the girls, grab some champers and treat yourselves by taking the time to unwind. What's best about a yoga holiday in the Shoalhaven is that you can mix it in with some warm country loving or with the refreshing negative ions of the sea!

Yoga & Massage with Roaming Yogis, Berry

Yoga Holidays: Roaming Yogis

Combine a bit of yoga with some country charm and see the experts at Roaming Yogis. Their beautiful purpose-built yoga shala is located in the green hills of Willow Farm in Berry. Tucked away in a quiet pocket of the working farm, this little haven is an old tractor shed that has been lovingly converted into a wonderfully light-filled studio where people can come to feel centred. You might even be lucky enough to spot some resident geese or cows walk past as you're mid-downward dog! It's an idyllic location that perfectly blends this ancient practice together with all the delights that Mother Nature has to offer. Not a shabby way of escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life, right? There are a bunch of different classes on offer at a variety of skill levels - vinyasa flow is great for those who want to feel energised after their class or maybe yin yoga is more your vibe, with a slower pace and a more meditative practice that channels the art of stillness. There are also external classes run by the Roaming Yogis at other locations in Callala Bay and Culburra Beach - just take a look at the timetable to find one near your holiday accommodation. Why not cap off your session with a refreshing dip in the ocean?

Yoga Holidays: Samana Yoga Jervis Bay

While we're in the Jervis Bay area, you might also want to check out this little hidden yoga gem, Samana Yoga. Owner, instructor and resident yogi Katie Hyde guides her students on their spiritual and wellbeing journeys. With over 15 years of yoga experience and a particular interest and expertise in kids yoga, you can rest assured that you're in safe, patient and trustworthy hands. Samana doesn't have a permanent yoga studio, instead, classes rotate around different suburbs in the Jervis Bay area including Greenwell Point and Tomerong. Book into a couple of sessions in different neighbourhoods, this is a great way to discover more of the Shoalhaven's lovely smaller towns. Stay in a modern and calming beach house near the water like Seahorse or Hart2Hart where you can settle into your own little yoga sessions out on the deck or in the backyard while listening to the waves crashing on the shore.
