The little seaside town of Currarong has long been a favourite with visitors. The calm beaches and fascinating rockpools are popular with families and visitors looking for a nice and relaxing place for a dip in the ocean and a meander around the foreshore. There is a great walking track at Abraham's Bosom which takes you along coastal heath and dramatic sandstone cliffs. For those a little daring - make sure you check out Gosang's Tunnel along the way for a unique passage through to some spectacular sea cliffs which plummet straight down to the ocean.
As well as excellent swimming, bushwalking and fishing, you must try the local seafood from the local takeaway Zac's Place. Collect your order and take it over to the reserve overlooking the beach for a tasty and relaxed break for lunch. A short drive from Currarong will have you at Beecroft Peninsula which is home to the majestic Point Perpendicular Lighthouse, as well as beautiful Honeymoon Bay. Beecroft Peninsula is only open on weekends and school holidays, it is navy land used for training during the week. Accommodation is available at the caravan park or in self-contained holiday rentals.
