This class is suitable for adults and children ages 6 an up
There is 2 options for this class
A 3 hour class 2 – 5pm cost $80, ideal for adults
Or a 2 hour class 2 – 4pm cost $60, a simpler version ideal for children
Adults are welcome to participate in the 2 hour class with their children as well.
Come and learn or expand your skills in this traditional printing technique. We are using modern printing blocks making the process easy and fun. We have the tile blocks, tools and ink to teach you everything you need to complete an artwork you will be proud of.
This workshop will be held at the Wesley Centre, Uniting Church Berry St Nowra
This workshop is for beginners or experienced artists – we cater to all skill levels.
Antony will explain this old craft and take you through the steps to transfer your design onto your carving block. He will then demonstrate the variety of tools you will use to carve your design and go through the necessary safety points.
When your block carving is completed, you will be ready to ink and print your design.
Your carving block can be used again and again with different inks, papers and layers.
You will take home your printing block and all your prints.
Your prints can be framed together or as single artworks.
