Inspired by the native flora and the work of Margaret Preston, Barbara Nell presents a workshop of drawing from nature, investigating the work of Australian Modern, Margaret Preston, designing and cutting a lino print and combining with monoprinting. Spend the weekend with like minded artists, learning the techniques involved to make a successful print.

The Callala Bay Progress Hall is just the right size and perfectly located for easy access to the natural environment for drawing. You will be guided through each step of the process in a relaxed and supportive environment. You will learn to print using hand methods and common kitchen equipment.

Saturday: Drawing on the esplanade nearby.
Morning tea and artist talk on Margaret Preston.
Designing and cutting your print.
Lunch
Cutting and proofing your print.
Refining your design.
Printing multiples and preparing monoprints.

Sunday: Hand coloring methods.
Printing overlays, black over monoprints.
Lunch.
Completion and reviewing our work.

All tuition, materials, morning and afternoon tea included in the cost. Bring your lunch along.
