The Big Fig Tree at Berry is listed on the National Register of Big Trees ranked ‘National Champion’ as a deciduous fig.
It has an estimated age of between 500 – 700 years and in 2020 was measured at Circumference: 10.47 metres (412 inches) by height: 33 metres (108 feet) with a crown of approximately 15 metres (49 feet).
This stunning symbol of the natural environment is an ancient remnant of a former rain forest in the area. It is located adjacent to Bundewallah Creek on the Mount Vista Close Reserve and is possibly the biggest tree in Berry.
Access is via a laneway at the end of Mt Vista Close. The Bundewallah reserve is dog friendly on leash.
