Temporary Closure – Upgrade works are being carried out at Danjera Dam Recreation area and are estimated to finish in early June 2024. The access road to the Recreation area may have closures. Check the Shoalhaven City Council website for project updates.

Yalwal Recreational Area is open for Day use only – No Camping.

Yalwal is an old gold prospecting area located 30 kilometres south-west of Nowra.

Yalwal is ideal for relaxing in an unspoiled wilderness with abundant wildlife, or as a base for active pursuits such as bush walking, canoeing, swimming and cycling.

An historic cemetery and the remnants of some old gold mines can be found there.
