Embraced by the vast blue playground of Jervis Bay Marine Park, Huskisson is a natural magnet for fans of water sports and classic Australian beach holidays. Paddling, snorkelling, fishing, diving and sailing all rank high here while the white sand beaches are pristine, protected and perfect for families. When the sun sets, explore the bustling restaurant and bar scene.

Explore the White Sand Coast on the Round the Bay Walk, it’s perfect for strolling or riding, and dotted with picnic areas, eateries and easy access to sparkling beaches. Spot resident dolphins as they patrol the beaches and play in the gentle waves, and relax under the shade of eucalyptus trees.

If you’re visiting between May and November keep an eye out for migrating whales, often sighted inside the bay. Encounter fur seals and dolphins on a bay cruise, vessels depart from Huskisson Wharf. This is Australia’s most northerly fur seal colony, as well as the only mainland colony.

Discover fascinating history and catch a monthly market at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum and discover the fascinating history of Jervis Bay from the perspectives of whalers, timber cutters and local Aboriginal people. You’ll see shipwrecks, lighthouses and some outstanding examples of boat building. You’ll also find the Lady Denman Ferry that gracefully ferried passengers across Sydney Harbour for many years. The grounds include a grassy lawn and fish pond, and provide easy access to the wheelchair and pram friendly Mangrove Boardwalk where you can explore the unique environment of stunning Currambene Creek.
