Yalwal Camp Ground is a beautiful and tranquil area offering an unspoilt wilderness in which to relax and rejuvenate amongst pristine bush and abundant wildlife. For the more adventurous it offers bushwalking, fishing, swimming, canoeing and bicycle touring. The area is a great place to explore with numerous tracks including the trek from Yalwal to the beautiful Tianjara Falls. High on the nearby sandstone escarpment are the Monument Rocks, and dotted around the area are a number of mining relics. You can choose from two camping and picnic grounds both of which have toilets, barbecue facilities, water (not for drinking) and bins for recycling. Firewood is not provided at Yalwal and should be brought in. NSW Police, Ranger and Security patrol regularly during holiday periods. Campsite bookings are not necessary.
