The streets of Nowra showcase a bunch of epic street art murals. Our tongue-in-cheek Toilet Mural Trail features some stunning paintings that have brightened up local parks such as Currarong foreshore. There’s eye candy in so many places! A look down during a stroll of the main street of Milton will also reveal five mosaics from a local project.
Why not combine your 100 Beach Challenge quest with a morning of exploring Aboriginal culture down by the coastline. The beautiful Aboriginal Carved Poles by Jerrinja Elder, Uncle Noel Wellington are situated around Callala Bay and Culburra Beach. Near Ulladulla, the One Track for All and Coomee Nulunga cultural walks also showcase local Aboriginal art.
Green thumbs, our serene and lovely gardens will appeal to all your senses. The topiaries and garden rooms are amazing at Merribee Historic Garden Estate. The Shoalhaven Heads Native Botanic Gardens has giant pencil sculptures right by the beach along with over 200 species of plants for you to explore. Willinga Park hosts tours of their Sculpture Garden and it is a must see attraction, with beautiful reflections of the natural world and intriguing abstract work on display throughout the parklands.
