Culburra Beach

Culburra Beach in the Shoalhaven offers many river, beach and lake water activities.
Enjoy great cafes or unwind AT YOUR WATERFRONT ACCOMMODATION!

Culburra Beach has long been a favourite with visitors. The town is blessed with a river, beach and lake waterways and is well-known for surfing spots. Located 22 kilometres east of Nowra, the coastal town is not short on adventure activities! The nearby village of Orient Point offers excellent fishing with two boat ramps and wharfs.

Take full advantage of the abundance of water activities by hiring a boat, kayak or paddleboard and venturing out into the sparkling blue waters. After that, take a walk out on the headland at Crookhaven Heads, scouring the rockpools for resident sea creatures and take in the stunning views over the water to Coolangatta Mountain. New cafes and bars have emerged in town like speakeasy Loco Lane with live music to enjoy on weekends. Be sure to check out the local markets, both in town and out at Pyree, a short drive back towards Nowra to browse the great offerings from local artists, makers and providores. A wide range of accommodation is available, including caravan parks at Crookhaven Heads and Culburra Beach, a motel and self-contained holiday rentals.
