The little seaside town of Currarong has long been a favourite with visitors. The calm beaches and fascinating rockpools are popular with families and visitors looking for a nice and relaxing place for a dip in the ocean and a meander around the foreshore.
WHAT TO DO IN Currarong
There is a great walking track at Abraham’s Bosom which takes you through coastal heath to small coves and beaches and dramatic sandstone cliffs. A great spot to spot passing whales and playful seals. Accommodation is available close by at the Holiday Haven caravan park or in self-contained holiday rentals
As well as excellent swimming, bushwalking and fishing, keep your eyes peeled for cute caravan cafes serving up hot coffees, cold juices and delicious snacks. A short drive from Currarong will have you at Beecroft Peninsula which is home to the majestic Point Perpendicular Lighthouse, as well as beautiful Honeymoon Bay. Beecroft Peninsula is only open on weekends and school holidays as it is used for military training during the week – check in with the Visitor Centre to confirm opening hours and available access before heading out. .
