The Jervis Bay town of Vincentia NSW is located within a magnificent natural setting and provides access to the most exquisite and unspoilt beaches. Vincentia offers 6.5 kilometres of white sandy beaches and high land elevation in some areas giving spectacular views across Jervis Bay. Dolphins are often spotted from the beaches and whales can be seen from May to November during their migration periods.
WHAT TO DO IN Vincentia
Vincentia can lay claim to having some of the best beaches at Jervis Bay with Blenheim, Greenfield, Collingwood and Orion beaches. Vincentia Sailing Club holds races on Sundays during summer and the Vincentia Golf Course has some great views over Jervis Bay. Vincentia has two shopping centres offering all of lifes conveniences. Accommodation is available in self contained holiday houses, bed and breakfast and motels.
Nearby Booderee National Park is a highlight not to be missed, one of only six federally owned parks in Australia, Booderee is managed in conjunction with the local Aboriginal community and is rich in cultural heritage. Wander the Governors Head walk, relax on the stunning Murrays Beach and explore the only Aboriginal managed botanic gardens in Australia where you can learn about native flora and fauna. There is an entry fee of $11 per car to Booderee National Park.Â
