Located just a short drive west from Nowra, Yalwal NSW is a source of rich goldmining history. Yalwal was a bustling place in the early 1900’s, however very little evidence remains in place today other than the graveyard and surrounding mine workings. Yarramunmun Creek and Danjera Creek converge at Yalwal, forming Yalwal Creek which then flows into the Shoalhaven River.

WHAT TO DO IN Yalwal

Day trippers to Yalwal can enjoy some seriously unspoilt scenery, as well as activities including fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and challenging bushwalking trails nearby. This is a real bush experience so pack the boots and hat and get adventurous!
