CREATIVE WORKSHOPS AND TALKS TO GO TO ON YOUR NEXT TRIP!
Shoalhaven is filled with tones of creative workshops that are fun for the whole family. Holidays are the perfect time to go and try that new creative thing. Take a break from the stress of life and explore the activities you’ve always wanted to do. We have many different workshops, classes and talks happening all year-round. There’s something there for every member of the family!
Art Workshops
Learn traditional Aboriginal basket weaving with Diedre of Bugiya Naway Buradja in Jervis Bay. Check out the many other boutiques and venues that have a variety of hands-on workshops that will inspire your creativity. Shop for quilting supplies or take a class at either Jukejema in Nowra and Quilt & Co in Berry. If you are visiting Nowra, the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery and The Art Hub offer lots of classes and workshops.
For the Kids!
A hands-on crafternoon filled with drawing, painting or ceramics at House of Jules in Milton is another great way to let the kids’ creativity free. (They have a variety of courses for adults too!) At Bonza Beads in Nowra. During the holidays for the kids, why not take a trip down to The Treat Factory in Berry.
Stock up on loads of loose beads and also learn bracelet and necklace making during the holidays. Our four Shoalhaven Libraries all also offer great holiday activities such as kids’ art classes plus local heritage and author talks. It is likely that you’ll need to book, so look out online for dates and times! (See our events page for more!)
