This sleepy little village sits at the northern edge of the dramatic Beecroft Peninsula, known for its spectacular sandstone cliffs.

Currarong, 33 kilometres South East of Nowra is great for swimming, surfing, fishing and prawning. Popular with holidaymakers, Currarong’s unique location means it often has different weather conditions to nearby Callala, Culburra and Nowra.

Take an easy walk from Currarong, such as Wreck Walk where you can see the rusty remains of SS Merimbula or the three-hour Trig Station Walk.

The protected main beach, Abrahams Bosom, has good picnic grounds with barbecue facilities.

Beecroft Peninsula has a spectacular sheer cliff face rising 75 metres from the ocean, and is the site of the Point Perpendicular lighthouse. From May to November this is one of the best points along the coast to spot whales, but there are resident dolphins and seals there all year.

Honeymoon Bay, a popular camping and picnic spot, is nearby.
